A thorough search of the 1930 census found no trace of Ella, Louise or James. It's quite possible that some tragedy took the lives of these three sometime soon after the 1920 Census was taken in January. Earl's marriage to his 2nd wife was Jun 1921. Ella and Earl's son Melvin is found in the 1930 Census listed as an institutionalized patient at Rosewood Center.

Ella married Earl W. SANTMYERS 28 Jul 1913, Rockingham, Virginia. Earl (son of Washington L. SANTMYERS and Emma Caroline FISHER) was born 11 Jan 1893, Shenandoah Co., Virginia; died Apr 1969, Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland. [Group Sheet]

1. Louise Virginia SANTMYERS was born 30 Apr 1914; died 5 Oct 1931.
2. Melvin W. SANTMYERS was born 26 Oct 1916.
3. James SANTMYERS was born 1919.
