Carlos Enrique De Cillo was born Charles Elmore Cosby, in South English, Keokuk, Iowa on 22 Feb 1859, married Margaret Rebecca Reynolds 1 Mar 1880 and had two children with her, and then "died at sea" in 1900, according to his grandson Richard Sheridan Cosby, writing in 1947. De Cillo ca 1901)," and her California Death Certificate from 1996 reads, "Mother's Maiden Name: Decillo, Father's Surname: Cosby."
