Monument Cemetery Relocation to Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, Montgomery, Pennsylvania
Monument Cemetery held over 28,000 graves when the land was purchased by Temple University to create a parking lot and athletic fields. While many graves were identified and relocated intact, including some of the Brutsches and Lehmans, the remains of over 20,000 people were exhumed and buried anonymously in a mass grave at Lawnview Cemetery. Most of the headstones from Monument Cemetery were dumped as riprap for the Betsy Ross Bridge over the Delaware River, many of which can be still seen today at low tide.

New London Presbyterian Cemetery, Chester County, Pennsylvania - Old Section
New London Presbyterian Cemetery, Chester County, Pennsylvania - Old Section
New London Presbyterian Church was founded in 1728. It is believed, albeit absent documentation, that Robert Strayhorn b.1733 and his son Samuel Strayhorn b.1769 are buried here. Samuel's sons Robert and Samuel and their wives are buried across the street in the newer section of the cemetery. The cemetery provides no comprehensive listing of persons interred here in the older section, and many headstones have either disappeared or been buried. But Robert was living nearby with his son Samuel prior to his death, and Samuel in turn lived with his son Robert in the years prior to his death.

Notarial Register from Bischwiller for Centmeyer
Notarial Register from Bischwiller for Centmeyer
A recently discovered genealogical record from Bischwiller. The line under Jakob Centmeyer reads, 'Ackerer (farmer -Ed) in Roigheim, Württemberg.' The entry for his son Johann Bernhard reads, 'Lutheran, day laborer at the Keibelmühle (a mill -Ed) married on 16 Feb 1739 Maria Salome Roth.' The listing of their children reveals for the first time the death dates for Johann Jakob and Maria Salome.
