274 | Cradle marked 'Jacob Zentmyer, Agent' I saw this hand-made doll's cradle, stamped 'Jacob Zentmyer, Agent, Naperville Ills' on eBay, likely a promotional give-away item during Jacob's time as an agent for Bloomer's Home Products. Trust me, nobody was going to outbid me. "After losing an arm in a corn shredder accident in 1899 Jacob became an agent for Bloomer's Home Products - medicines, spices, and extracts. Driving a horse and special wagon, he had a regular route through the countryside and visited regular customers with Bloomer products." -Naperville Sun, 20 Oct 1982 Image by Gary Zentmyer | ||
