Jeffery 7½ horsepower Rambler, and was issued license #537 on 6 Sep 1904. According to the Motor Vehicle Administration in Maryland, the first recorded automobile registration was in fact in 1904. There were no license plates, the registration number was painted on the car. The driver's license was a badge that was worn on the coat while driving. | ||
