- Williard must have been an extremely active man. Besides the organizations already mentioned, he was also a member of the Pilgrim Commandry No. 21 Knights Templar, Osiris Temple at Wheeling, the Tygarts Valley Shrine Club, Osiris, Klowns, and the H.W. Daniels Post No. 29 American Legion.
Williard was a graduate of Keyser High School; received lab training at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. He worked for a time as a lab technician at Old City Hospital in Elkins, WV.
