This lineage confirms for us the surname of George Robertson's first wife Mildred. Mildred Bernard is also identified as George's wife in the Family Files at the Patrick County Historical Society in Stuart, Virginia, Eunice B. Kirkman, compiler.

(but no wife Susannah, she had previously died) James was not the firstborn son, but was named first in the will, described as 'dearest son' see 'death' for script comparison.
  		Marriage Record for a James Robertson and Martha Field Archer, NOT US. This James was a soldier, 2nd Lieutenant, born in Wake, North Carolina. This line has been confused with ours because of the name James and the Chesterfield County marriage place, but this was clearly not our line. And yet many Ancestry.com trees incorrectly connect this James to us.
