 | Notarial Register from Bischwiller for Centmeyer A recently discovered genealogical record from Bischwiller. The line under Jakob Centmeyer reads, 'Ackerer (farmer -Ed) in Roigheim, Württemberg.' The entry for his son Johann Bernhard reads, 'Lutheran, day laborer at the Keibelmühle (a mill -Ed) married on 16 Feb 1739 Maria Salome Roth.' The listing of their children reveals for the first time the death dates for Johann Jakob and Maria Salome. | |

The Office of the Adjutant General later expanded the scope of the cards by transcribing onto them data found on the original Civil War Muster Rolls and Related Records, 1861-1866 {series #19.11}. |

 | Headstone of Johann Jacob Zentmeyer Located in Keller Cemetery near Ephrata, Pennsylvania Cemetery is on Springville Rd., halfway between Pleasentview Rd. and LR36030 (Schoeneck Rd.) Drive into Oberholzer's Swiss Dairy, drive past the barns, cemetery is up a small hill to the right. Inscription: "Here Rests Jacob Zentmeyer He was Born in December 1750 and Died 22 March 1831 His Age Was About 80 years and 3 months His Funeral Text Was II Timothy Chapter 4 Verses 7 and 8" The birth year on the headstone does not agree with the birth record in the church books in Bischwiller, France -Ed Photo by Gary Zentmyer |
